I’m Tracy Richards, Founder, Director, and Senior Life Celebrant of XO. Life Celebrations. For more than two decades, I have been walking with couples, families, and individuals through meaningful life moments as a relationship counsellor, life celebrant, licensed wedding officiant, and marriage readiness facilitator, holding space for the personal stories that shape our lives.
I have been writing about life, faith, relationships, and the process of becoming since 2007. That lifelong love of language and story shapes the way I create ceremonies. I listen carefully for the thread that runs through each story, then craft a ceremony that feels personal, honest, warm, and relatable.
After being ordained as a Marketplace Minister and licensed to solemnize marriages in Ontario in 2015, I have had the joy of officiating hundreds of weddings, from intimate “just us” ceremonies to beautifully planned celebrations with family and friends gathered close.
My ceremony style is warm, thoughtful, and deeply personal. Whether I am creating something simple and sweet, fully customized for a wedding day, or tenderly shaped around a meaningful life-cycle moment, my hope is always the same: that you feel calm, cared for, and well represented.
I care deeply about marriage, not just weddings. My Christian faith has shaped the way I understand marriage as something sacred, meaningful, and worthy of care. That same conviction guides the way I serve couples and families: with warmth, respect, hospitality, and a desire to help each ceremony feel grounded and full of meaning.
As a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, I also support couples who want to strengthen the foundation of their relationship before marriage. I believe the ceremony matters, and I believe the life you are building together matters even more.
